7:30 PMPenn State’s outstanding musical groups will perform March 20 in the Penn State School of Music’s 13th annual President’s Concert, hosted by President Eric Barron and the Penn State Alumni Association. The 7:30 pm concert at Hershey Theatre will feature the Philharmonic Orchestra, Centre Dimensions Jazz Ensemble, and Trombone Choir. Centre Dimensions, a sixteen-piece big band directed by Marko Marcinko, will play a variety of jazz standards. The Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Gerardo Edelstein, will perform Respighi’s Pines of Rome. The Trombone Choir, directed by Mark Lusk, will round out the concert. The concert will conclude with the Penn State Alma Mater.
