Info

Hershey Theatre® is located in downtown Hershey with easy drop-off and pick up at our front entrance at 15 East Caracas Avenue. Free bus and van parking is also available. We try our best to accommodate your accessibility needs.

Accessible Seating

Let us know when you place your order if any member is in a wheelchair, has a walker, or is hearing impaired and would like an infrared listening device. One of our ushers will gladly provide assistance and answer any questions.

Much of the seating on the orchestra level is completely step-free and our accessible rest room is conveniently located on the main floor behind the rear orchestra. Due to the historic nature of the building, there is no elevator to the Balcony or Loge seating areas. Should someone in your party need special seating, we will make every effort to accommodate your needs. Please feel free to call us for arrangements.

To Our Valued Guests,

Since 1933, Hershey Theatre has been a world-class destination for the performing arts in Central Pennsylvania. We are proud of our rich history and deeply grateful for the continued support from our community. As we undertake this historic renovation, our top priority is to honor Milton Hershey’s legacy by revitalizing this treasured landmark for generations to come. We’ve heard your questions regarding accessible seating, and we want to be fully transparent about the progress we’ve made—and the challenges we face—with this unique and historic building.

Hershey Theatre is proud to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This distinction places strict preservation guidelines on the building, which limit the structural modifications. As part of our seating renovation project, we worked closely with a nationally recognized historic theater consultant, as well as architects and engineers. A formal review was also conducted and completed by Pennsylvania’s Department of Labor & Industry Accessibility Advisory Board in April 2025.

As a result of this process, we’re pleased to share several enhancements designed to improve egress, safety, and accessibility. These include self-rising seats, additional wheelchair transfer locations, handrails in the balcony, and enhanced aisle lighting.

Wheelchair and companion seating will continue to be available, and our team will make every effort to accommodate any special seating needs. We encourage you to contact us in advance or speak with the Box Office staff upon arrival.

On behalf of the entire Hershey Theatre team, thank you for your continued support. We can’t wait to welcome you back to this beautiful venue, and we remain committed to exceeding your expectations with every visit.

Sincerely,

Don Papson
