Your Next Act

Calling all high school students interested in a career in theater! This event is for you!!

Explore the many careers in theater, including acting, technical theater, directing, choreography, arts administration, and non-traditional jobs in the arts. The event will feature panels consisting of theater professionals working in the many different jobs in the industry. Other panel topics include college audition prep and building a sustainable career in theater. An information corner will be available for general questions, and students may bring college prep materials, resumes, headshots, and audition books for review by local professionals. There will also be networking time with representatives from area universities, community and professional theaters, dance schools, theater-related employers, and participating panelists.

The event runs from 1:00 - 6:00 PM

• 1:00 - 2:00 PM: Registration and booths open
• 2:00 - 3:00 PM: Welcome and meet the panelists
• 3:00 - 4:00 PM: Panel Session I (Choose your own adventure)
• 4:00 - 5:00 PM: Panel Session II (Choose your own adventure)
• 5:00 - 6:00 PM: Networking with panelists and booths open
